KNEC Seeks to Employ KCSE Oral and Practical Assessors

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced vacancies for assessors for KCSE oral and practical papers.

According to a notice released on Tuesday, April 20, KNEC is inviting interested individuals to apply for these positions from May 1 to July 30, 2024.

Selected candidates will receive on-the-job training while participating in the assessment of the 2024 KCSE papers. Those already registered as assessors in the KNEC database need not reapply.

KNEC targets secondary school teachers in various subjects, including power mechanics, electricity, aviation technology, French oral, German oral, Arabic oral, Kenya sign language signing practical, and music practical.

Applicants must be practicing teachers/tutors in the relevant subjects, registered and/or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or a recognized professional body. They should hold a diploma or higher qualification in education or the relevant specialization area. Additionally, candidates for aviation technology must possess a diploma in aeronautical engineering.

All applicants should have a minimum of three years of teaching experience and must be endorsed by the head of their institution or employer. Candidates with a clean disciplinary record and aged 50 years or below are eligible.

To apply, interested applicants should visit the examiners portal at https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke. Those with existing CP2 accounts should log in using their usernames and passwords, while those who have forgotten their passwords can reset them by providing their mobile number.

The Contracted Professionals System (CP2) portal is an integrated online platform for managing national examination officers, facilitating the supervision, invigilation, and administration of exams.

Applicants without CP2 accounts can create one by following the instructions on the portal. Once logged in, they should complete their profile and proceed to apply for assessor vacancies from the dashboard.

All available vacancies will be displayed for applicants to select.
