Richard’s body was found on Sunday morning after being missing for five days, as confirmed by his younger brother, Gilbert Kobe.
Gilbert mentioned that Richard’s son stumbled upon his father’s body in the well while fetching water.
Richard disappeared on Tuesday night, leaving home without his mobile phone and failing to inform anyone of his whereabouts. Despite expectations of his return, he did not come back.
The deceased’s family initiated a search the following day, alerting the police and extending their efforts to the Lida trading center in the neighboring Rachuonyo North Sub-County after receiving tips that someone resembling him had been spotted.
However, it wasn’t until Sunday morning that they received news from home about the discovery of Richard’s body in the water well. Subsequently, the police were notified, and they removed the body from the scene.
Rachuonyo South Sub-County Police Commander Lilies Wachira stated that investigations have commenced.
The body of the headteacher found in a well was transported to Rachuonyo South Sub-County Hospital mortuary in Oyugis for post-mortem examination.
