The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is planning to open its portal for 2023 candidates seeking Inter-University transfers.
The placement agency will give chance to KCSE candidates who have already secured placements in various universities and colleges for the 2023/2024 cycle but wish to switch to other institutions (Government-sponsored).

The opening date for inter-institution transfer applications will be announced later.
How to Apply for Inter University/ Institution Transfers
Step 1: Visit http://student.kuccps.net
Step 2: Click on the “Transfers” tab at the top and follow the instructions after payment.
Step 3: SELECT PROGRAMME
Choose the programme you wish to transfer to and input the PROGRAMME CODE in the inter-institution transfer field. You can proceed only if you meet the cutoff and minimum requirements.
Step 4: REASON FOR TRANSFER
Indicate the Reason for Transfer (Medical, Disability, Financial, Not preferred programme, or other). Attach supporting documents for your reason for transfer. Continuing students must include their transcripts. Provide a reason for the Transfer Application in no less than 300 characters and not exceeding 300 characters.
Step 5: Transfer Payment
Follow the payment instructions provided after completing the reason for transfer. Make payment via Lipa Na Mpesa Paybill and enter the Mpesa Confirmation Code. Your payment will be validated automatically.
Then click submit. Enter your index number if requested and click submit again.
Step 6: ENDORSEMENT BY RECEIVING Institution
The receiving institution will review and endorse or reject your transfer application based on available course spaces.
Step 7: Endorsement By Releasing Institution
Once approved by the receiving institution, your current institution will endorse your transfer.
Step 8: Review By KUCCPS
After endorsement by both institutions, KUCCPS will review your application for final approval.
Step 9: Transfer Letter
Upon approval by KUCCPS, download the transfer letter. This letter should be presented during admission or reporting to the new institution.
